Parker Artist Starsky Montesinos
Starsky Montesinos was born in the city of Caracas, Venezuela on September 23rd, 1981. From very early age, Starsky, began his studies in music at the Conservatory of Maracay, playing the violin. At age 16, he shows interest in playing popular guitar by performing different genres such as Jazz, Pop, Bossa Nova, Merengue, Boleros, and Salsa. Despite being highlighted as a Violinist, is with the guitar with what he achieves its full identification; as well as the ability of expressing it musically. For this reason, he decided to change his major at the Conservatory of Maracay from Violin to Classical Guitar, becoming one of the best interpreters of Venezuela.
At his short age, Starsky has participated with musical groups and artists of the statue of Guaco, The Black Angels, the India of New York, comedian Moreno Michael, comedian Er Conde del Guácharo, Hany Kwan, Las Chicas del Can, Sergio George, and Liz, among others. He is currently the lead guitarist of the Sonero of the world Oscar D' León.
In 2014, during a world tour, Starsky received classes of Popular Guitar from well-known Pianist and composer, Otmaro Ruiz, "Considered one of the most important jazz pianists in the current scene, Venezuelan Otmaro Ruiz is known for its versatility and virtuosity. His work as an arranger was recognized by the American Academy of Recording Arts with a 2016 Grammy Nomination."He dedicated a year worth of teachings which enriched my capacity and ability to play better popular guitar.
In 2015, also while touring with Oscar D'Leon, Starsky received personalized Classic Guitar classes from another well-known Venezuelan musician, Rene Ruiz Toledo.
Starsky has participated in numerous festivals of Jazz and currently forming its first production of his album entitled Jazz Wednesday, with his band TACO JAZZ.
