Parker Guitars Announces New Model: The DF
Chicago, IL, August 4, 2009 – Parker Guitars introduces the DF824, the first new USA production model Parker since 2005.
The DF is equipped with all the great features Parker is known for in an elegantly carved new shape, showcasing a new, more traditional and ergonomically shaped upper horn while retaining the look and feel that is unmistakably Parker. The flared headstock provides more strength and allows for a thinner profile and a faster, more comfortable neck. The DF also features a 22 fret fingerboard enabling precise placement of the neck pickup for that classic neck-position tone. An HSS pickup configuration has been utilized for the wider palette of tones that today's guitarists demand from a high end instrument. Pickup mounting has also been improved to allow players to swap out the included Duncans with the pickup of their choice. The DF also marks the first time Parker has combined the premium tone woods of alder and basswood in a production model, further providing a wider range of attainable tones.
Available in Tobacco Sunburst, White, Dusty Black and Black Cherry.
Two new Artist Signature models have been created based on the new DF design, the VRFD1 Vernon Reid model and the ADFM1 Adam Dutkiewicz model. Please visit parkerguitars.com for information on these Parker guitars.
